Preparing to Sell: What colors for paint and what style of carpet?

I have a client who’s daughter has moved out of state.  The father and I are assisting her with the sale of her Glendale condominium.  It is located within walking distance to Glendale’s financial district which is a very desirable walking neighborhood.

In order to maximize their selling dollars we need to address condition such as flooring and paint.  I was advised that the HOA will only allow hardwood floors on first floor units; this second floor unit will then need carpet (and paint).  I asked Charis, my home stager and she suggested: Dunn Edwards Creamy Cameo DE6176.  Ceilings and trim in Whisper DEW 340.   Carpet medium to light tan (darker than walls), loop (more modern) or short pile.
