Having a great time!
Friday, we arrived in Florence and it was perfect. A 9 pm dinner seems late for me, but that is when most Italians eat (including our girlfriend Pam), so that's when we have been dining. And of course the food is unbelievable; The beef in Florence is ALL "Kobe" type beef but not Kobe prices.
Saturday we went to the The Mall (discount outlet shopping), which is amazing except that with our dollar being so weak you still need to be careful. After a quick shopping session, we toured a winery and ate lunch at a castle.
We went back to Rome and my Italian American girlfriend Pam made dinner for us, at her apartment in Rome and it was fantastic.
Yesterday we went on a walking tour of the Coliseum, it was absolutely fascinating. Tonight I'm taking a cooking class in Rome, so I'll come home with new delicious recipes!

If you are going on vacation, send me a postcard! The tail end of summer always catches me wishing I were somewhere else. Natalie sold a home this weekend, and wrote an offer on another. I am showing, showing, but no results. My friend arrives from Rome this week, perhaps that will shake me out of the summer doldrums; we’re having a small party for her this weekend. ...

You look wonderful and I am sorry I didn't check out your blogs more carefully.
Missed this picture and of course I miss you.
Love,
